About Tanya
Growing up in Maine, the outdoors was my classroom — fishing, wide open spaces, and horses shaped who I am from the start. At 13, I got my first horse, and that love led me to a 22-year career as a large animal veterinarian. It was demanding, deeply rewarding work that taught me the value of dedication, precision, and truly showing up for people when it matters most.
When my husband David retired early, we followed our hearts south to a place we'd always loved. In 2022, we made Surfside Beach our permanent home — and we've never looked back.
Real estate became a natural next chapter, rooted in years of hands-on experience flipping homes, managing commercial property, and investing in short-term rentals. Since earning my license in 2022, I've had the privilege of working with everyone from first-time buyers to seasoned investors, bringing the same care and thoroughness to every transaction that I brought to every patient.
Giving back is something I take seriously. In October 2024, I traveled to Western North Carolina to assist with hurricane relief efforts alongside Savage Freedoms in a veterinary capacity, and I'm a proud supporter of Samaritan's Purse and local Habitat for Humanity and Barnabus Horse Foundation organizations.
People joke that I work too much — and honestly, they're not entirely wrong. But I love what I do. When I'm not helping clients, you'll find me on an annual father-daughter fishing trip to Alaska, painting with acrylics, catching live music with friends, or unwinding with David at the beach or by the pool.
